Discovery is EXPLODING with fun these school holidays

Boom! Crash! Kapow! Join us as we launch an investigation into the colourful and noisy world of explosions by recreating some natural and unusual explosions. The mystery behind some infamous, real-life explosions will also be revealed.
Show Times: 12noon and 2:00pm.
Supernova! Death of a giant star:
All stars eventually run out of fuel, but what happens at the end of their lives depends on how massive the star is. Certain stars explode as supernovae, a spectacular explosion of energy. Come along to the Bendigo Planetarium and find out why, when and how these amazing events happen.
Show times: 11:30am and 1:30pm
With over 100 other interactive exhibits to explore, you won't know what to try first at Discovery! Plummet down the Vertical Slide (11am, 1pm & 3pm), see the world from a different perspective in the Coliban Water Ames Room and for the young scientist under eight, check out Kaleidoscope!
All shows and activities are included within Discovery's general admission price.
