Bendigo Online in the making. The reason we are here.


About online Bendigo.We were established in 2008 to enable local Bendigo people free access to online services. We took surveys from local business and the general public and discovered the need for cheap advertising alternatives. So we formulated a plan to help Bendigo people in their home town.

We decided to offer free services to both business and consumers and offset the cost by opening an Online store called BendigoShop. This was to offset the cost of all free services offered and at the same time allow Bendigo business the opportunity to sell old and unwanted stock locally and internationally.

The next thing we had to look at was how we would target our customers. How to attract people to our site and how to keep them coming back actively using our Business Directory to gain value for our local Business listed within the directory.

So then we created Bendigo Forums. This was a way we could enable people to talk on all issues in life. It offers the ability for people to speak freely on issues within the Bendigo Community. It also allowed us to have an outlet for local business to communicate and network with other business owners. From our Forum we found in the early days people wanted to have access to free Classifieds that were based within Bendigo.

So we created Bendigo Classifieds. A locally owned and 100% free online classified service. We have included the ability to sell everything from cars to Real-estate and household goods within the Bendigo region. I must say we are happy with the results to date and with our customers and there outcomes with sales.

To top at all off after watching a show on television where remote farmers were seeking a partner we decided to start a free online dating service. As we all know parts of the Bendigo region are remote and people find it hard to create social networks, friendships and to seek companionship. So Bendigo Dating was brought to life. Bendigo Dating is a professional and well formatted dating service that offers everything from, Forums to live chat and matchmaking programs.

We have prepaid our server fees till 1/04/2010 to allow comfort to our advertisers and customers that we are here for the long haul.
