GPO Bendigo, 3.5 stars as a Restaurant & 4.5 stars cafe
The atmosphere is warm and decor is modern. But this is only one part of the experience.
The food. I went with old fashion steak and my friend went with there lamb shanks or should i say mutton shanks, The food had flavor but was confused are they going for a modern rustic infusion theme or pub food one hint would be the food lacked height and side garnishing ie a Balsamic reduction would complement the large white plates, or using fresh herbs or flowers would give a impressive feel. the price of the food is at the upper end of the scale but nothing near Capital city prices. I believe gpo need to work on the front of house to justify there prices and all staff need to spend more time in the kitchen to get a passion for the food like there chef has.
Would i go there again yes
Over all one of the better cafes in town
